Process Engineering Manager

While OMNI Conversion Technologies has its head office in Ottawa, Ontario, its Process Engineering team is spread across Canada. The Process Engineering Manager can live anywhere in Canada but must be able to travel to Ottawa for up to 5 consecutive days per month if required and may occasionally be asked to travel to client locations.

OMNI CT is a leader in the conversion of waste to value. The name “OMNI” reflects the omnivorous capability of the OMNI200 to accept a wide range of feedstock and convert it into syngas tailored to final applications and non-leachable aggregate. It has 100% diversion from landfill and no emissions to atmosphere during conversion. The OMNI200, described on the front page of OMNI’s website, is the core product being purchased and sold in all current sales opportunities.

The OMNI200 has been ‘productized’, which means that the need to highly customize a design for each customer project is no longer necessary. Essentially the OMNI200 incorporates a “garbage in, syngas out” design that can utilize input from multiple materials including biomass and Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) to produce output that is convertible by the purchaser to any number of end uses, including hydrogen and jet fuel.

Capitalizing on the opportunity ahead will require solid engineering, project delivery, and operations talent. To this end the company is now seeking a Process Engineering Manager to lead its high performing process team.

Reporting to the Associate Vice President Engineering, the Process Engineering Manager will provide effective leadership and management of the internal process engineering group to achieve corporate goals, while displaying the highest ethics and professionalism. They will excel at ensuring operational excellence via safe and efficient plant design. They will be champions of the mission and goals of the organization.
